University of Benin, UNIBEN JUPEB programme admission application form for the 2015/2016 academic session is out.
UNIBEN JUPEB Admission

Applications are invited  from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the University of Benin (UNIBEN) Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) programme for 2015/2016 Session.

UNIBEN – JUPEB Admission Requirements.

Candidates seeking admission into the JUBEP Foundation Programmes must possess minimum of 5 credit passes in at least five (5) subjects at “O” Level, including English language and Mathematics at not more than 2 sittings in the GCE, SSCE (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB).
The following Subject Combinations are available:

– Economics, Government / Literature in English
2.
Education
– All the combinations in 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, & 8.
3.
Management / Social Sciences
– Economics / Government / Mathematics
– Mathematics / Geography / Economics
– Accounting / Economics / Business studies
4.
Law
– Government / Literature in English / Christian Religious Studies 
5.
Life Sciences
– Biology / Chemistry / Physics
6.
Physical Sciences
– Chemistry / Mathematics / Physics
– Geography / Mathematics / Physics
7.
Medicine/ Dentistry /
Pharmacy / Nursing
– Biology / Chemistry / Physics
8.
Engineering
– Chemistry / Mathematics / Physics

   All the combinations above meet the entry requirements for direct admission into Degree Programmes in the University of Benin and other JUPEB affiliate Universities which include, OAU, UNILAG, UNN, UYO, FUTA, FUNAAB, etc.
DURATION OF PROGRAMME:
The duration of the study is a minimum of one Academic Session of TWO SEMESTERS. It is strictly non-residential programme.
MODE OF STUDY:
Face to face contact at the University of Benin or other designated venues. Lectures will be conducted from 3pm – 6pm, Monday to Friday.

UNIBEN – JUPEB Admission Method of Application.

Interested candidates should pay a non-refundable application fee of fifteen thousand naira (N15,000.00) through E- Transact Payment Platform at any branch of the following banks: First Bank, Wema Bank nationwide. The fee excludes bank charges. Candidates making payment are to obtain a Pin Transaction Receipt which should contain a Pin Code. With the PIN CODE, Log on to University of Benin Website: www.uniben.edu. and click on the Foundation Programme Link to complete the application form online and upload a recent coloured passport size photograph (scanned, not more than 3 months old passport) with red background. Webcam photograph is not acceptable. Submit the online application form and print out a copy of the examination schedule slip which should have your user name and password.
Note:
(i)           Fill your Bio-Data correctly as no complaint about wrong bio-data will be entertained after submission.
(ii)          Candidates who upload wrong bio-data will be disqualified and forfeit admission fee.
(iii)        Only coloured print out will be accepted.
(iv)        Print at least 4 copies of the University of Benin online registration form with complete passport size photograph printed in colour.
(v)         Bring the same passport size photograph used for the online registration to the screening exercise and for registration after offer of admission.
(vi)        All candidates are required to use valid e-mail addresses and Telephone numbers.
(vii)      Candidates are to follow the application instructions very carefully and ensure they select the subject combinations relevant to their course of study.
Entrance Examination:
The Entrance Examination into the Foundation Programme will hold at the University of Benin on a date to be scheduled as appropriate.

About & Description of JUPEB Programme.

Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) Certificate enables candidates to gain Direct Entry Admission into 200 level of the degrees offered by the University of Benin and other JUPEB – affiliated Universities in Nigeria and universities abroad. The JUPEB Certificate is equivalent to the Advance Level GCE or the Old Higher School Certificate (HSC) or IJMB.
PROGRAMME DESCRIPTION:
Each candidate admitted into the programme will be exposed to an intensive academic work in three subject combinations relevant to their desired field of study. The subjects are broken into four courses labeled 001, 002, 003 & 004 with each candidate taking six courses per semester making a total of twelve courses at the end of the programme. In addition, candidates will also take at least two general studies courses (one per semester). Each course will be examined at the end of each semester but the results in all the courses taken will be merged at the end of the second semester to obtain a letter grade in each subject (i.e. A, B, C, D, E & F). The general studies to be chosen by each candidate will be based on general courses relevant to the field of study.
For admission into the University of Benin and other JUPEB affiliate institutions, each candidate, in addition to passing the prescribed JUPEB examination for issuing the Direct Entry Certificates, must satisfy all admission requirements prescribed by departments and faculties of choice.

How to Apply for UNIBEN CBT Practice Platform.

UNIBEN CBT Software - Post UTME
This is to inform all the future UNIBENites that the authorities of the university have set up a platform where they can practice forr the 2015/2016 academic session post UTME screening exercise.
UNIBEN CBT practice online platform – This is a Practice test on Computer Based Test which is open to the general public. It is an exposure to the use of CBT for common entrance screening tests and all other computer based examinations.
Application is welcomed from interested candidates. Candidates are advised to have a valid e-mail account before starting the application process.

How to Apply for UNIBEN CBT Practice Platform.

The procedure for the 2015/2016 UNIBEN CBT Practice Test application is as follows:
1.         Visit www.uniben.edu
2.         Click on WAEUP Portal
3.         Click on Register for application at the top left of the display page to proceed
4.         Enter your Surname, First Name and Other Name as it is written on the JAMB Registration slip and your JAMB Registration number.
5.         Immediately, your ID and Password will be displayed on the browser.
6.         On the application page, click on ‘Login’ (top right of front page)
7.         Enter your Username and the password to login.
8.         To start the application process, please click on ‘Application record’, provide all required information and upload your passport photograph.
9.         Upload a RECENT and CLEAR “1×1” COLOUR PASSPORT PHOTOGRAPH WITH RED BACKGROUND IN JPEG FORMAT ONLY.  
10.    To pay for the Application, click on “Add online payment ticket” at the bottom of the page, then click on “College Pay” on the top left corner of the page, follow the instruction to pay the application fee with an ATM-Enabled Verve or Master Card from any Commercial Bank
11.     Preview and confirm your information before submitting your application online. 
12.    Come back to cbt.uniben.edu to take your practice test 24 hours after your application.
13.    You are entitled to one practice test per application.  You can however apply more than once.
14.    Application website closes by 12 Midnight on 2nd August, 2015.

University of Benin (UNIBEN) post UTME screening exercise application form for the 2015/2016 academic session is out.

This is to notify the public that University of Benin (UNIBEN) conducts her Post-UTME screening for admission into the University for the 2015/2016 Academic Session on following scheduled date and venues:
Date: will take place between 17th August, 2015 and 2nd September, 2015
Venue: Within Ugbowo Campus of the University

Candidates Eligible for UNIBEN Post UTME Screening.

Only candidates who applied through JAMB for UTME Admission and chose University of Benin as First Choice and scored 200 and above are eligible for the Screening Exercise.

UNIBEN Post UTME Application Procedures.

All applications should be done between 7.00am 4th August, 2015 and 7.00am 13th August, 2015.
The procedure for the 2015/2016 PUTME Entry Screening application is as follows:
  1.   Visit www.uniben.edu.
  2. Candidates are advised to have a valid e-mail account before starting the application process.
  3. Click on Student Portal.
  4.   Click on Register for application. at the top left of the display page to proceed.
  5.   Enter your Surname exactly as written on the JAMB Registration slip and your JAMB Registration Number immediately, your ID and Password will be displayed on the browser.
  6.   On the https://uniben.waeup.org, click on ‘Login’ (top right of front page).
  7.   Enter your Username and the password to login.
  8.   To start the application process, please click on ‘Application record’, provide all required information and upload your passport photograph.
  9.   Upload a RECENT and CLEAR   1″ x 1″   COLOUR PASSPORT PHOTOGRAPH WITH RED BACKGROUND IN JPEG FORMAT ONLY. NOTE that the photograph uploaded will be the only valid ID for all admitted candidates throughout their stay in the University of Benin. FAILURE TO UPLOAD THE SPECIFIED PASSPORT PHOTOGRAPH WILL LEAD TO DISQUALIFICATION and failure/forfeitures of admission.
  10.   To pay for the Application, click on “Add online payment ticket” at the bottom of the page, then click on “College Pay” on the top left corner of the page; follow the instruction to pay the application fee of N 2,000:00; (The fee excludes other charges), the PUTME past questions for N1,000:00 (optional); excluding Interswitch and Portal Services charges with an ATM-Enabled Verve or Master Card from any Commercial Bank.
  11.   A link is displayed “Download past questions to practice.
  12.   Preview and confirm your information before submitting your application online. (No correction will be accepted after the closing date).

Candidates should go back on-line on 15th August, 2015 to check for the Day, Venue and Time for their examination.
NOTE that GSM phones and calculators are NOT allowed.
Application website closes by 13th August, 2015 (i.e. all applications must be concluded online not later than 13th August, 2015). Candidates who pay after the deadline will not sit for the examination.

Application Closes at Midnight on of 13th August, 2015.
